Sydney Catholic Schools has featured in the high-achieving schools list for outstanding NAPLAN 2022 results with four schools placing in the state’s top 20.

Among the Sydney Catholic Schools to take out top honours in Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) state NAPLAN results, is  John the Baptist Catholic Primary School Bonnyrigg (15th place).

For John the Baptist Catholic Primary School, the school’s continued success in NAPLAN is a reflection of the clear vision and focus on core English and Mathematics instruction.

“Targeted teaching, which aims to identify the specific needs of each learner, is the cornerstone of our approach. Literacy and Numeracy concepts are also taught across all key learning areas,” said principal, Brendan O’Connor.

“We have a very responsive parent community who supports the school’s initiatives, and who, in turn, encourages each of us to maintain high expectations. It is a wonderful achievement for the staff and students of our school,” he said.
