Our teachers know their students and work with them to help them realise their potential as learners. Our focus on authentic learning and authentic assessment ensures that we challenge our students to grow in their learning and achieve their personal best.

Throughout our community of Sydney Catholic schools, we have shown high performance of our students in measures such as NAPLAN and the HSC.

At John the Baptist Catholic School Primary School Bonnyrigg Heights, learning is regularly assessed, analysed and monitored so that appropriate programs, opportunities and support ensure learning growth aligns with student’s potential.

The school has a strong focus on improvement. Tracking of results in NAPLAN testing indicates continual upward growth in numeracy and literacy over the last ten years with student achievement above state and national averages in all areas.

Average student growth between Years 3 and 5 is also above state growth averages in all areas tested.

Other school-based and standardised assessments indicate strong improvement in specific areas and inform the school’s strategic direction for continual improvement in student achievement.
